This evening will launch and premiere a Chicago Jazz Philharmonic (CJP) chamber group comprised of 10-15 musicians. Repertoire will include works that demonstrate how jazz and classical can indeed fuse, creating a new genre; works by Bill Russo, David Baker, Gunther Schuller, Daniel Schnieder and Orbert Davis.
