Art is being made here and now, in Hyde Park, on Chicago’s Culture Coast.

Here on Chicago’s Culture Coast, art is an essential part of the fabric of the Hyde Park neighborhood and is being made here and now.

This past October through December, the storefronts from 1452 to 1466 E. 53rd Street in Chicago’s Hyde Park neighborhood were transformed to create window art installations and studios that invited the public to engage with the artistic process and visit with working artists.

Most of the window installations featured multimedia presentations with fabrics, metal, glass and photography and were created to share a wide range of expressions from human emotions to the devastation of war.
